ABSTRACT
This article investigates the relevance of research through Active Learning Methodology mediated by Digital Technologies in emergency remote teaching in the COVID-19 Pandemic. The work is made up of reflections based on the literature and on the authors' experience with the theme in the educational context. The research has a qualitative approach, and the data sources consist of books, scientific articles, and other printed and digital works. The results allow us to state that innovative teaching, which differs from traditionalism -which treated the subject as a mere receiver of knowledge and the educator as the holder of knowledge -enables new attitudes in the act of teaching, adapting to the real context of society and the experiences of students, since they are the focus of education. And the Active Methodologies can guide and mediate teaching-learning in the classroom, helping students to be protagonists through research and technologies in contemporary times.
